When it comes to safety, no part of your car is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the entire system. You never want to be in a situation where you cannot depend on your brakes.
And while the hydraulics and opening hardware require periodic attention, it is the friction materials—the pads, shoes, rotors and drums—that really need to be looked at frequently, because they wear down each time you apply your brakes. Worn pads can damage the brake rotor or drum, turning a simple maintenance job into an expensive replacement procedure.
At Quality Tune-Up, standard brake service includes an inspection of your vehicle’s entire braking system. Pads and shoes are replaced when necessary. The hydraulic system is purged of air and adjusted. Based on our inspection, there may be other components that may need to be replaced.
